Laurie L. Hazard, Ed.D., and Stephanie Carter, M.A., authors of Your Freshman is Off To College: A Month-By-Month Guide to the First-Year, have over 50 years of combined experience in the fields of student success, academic support, adolescent development, and the first-year college experience. Their book draws from a keen understanding of the complexities of the adjustment to college for students and families alike.

Laurie and Stephanie aim to support the success and achievement of students at all levels by working with key stakeholders, including students, families, administrators and faculty.  They are available to deliver presentations, workshops, keynote addresses, and programs at regional and national conferences, professional organizations, and educational institutions from middle school through higher education.

Laurie and Stephanie’s latest project is creating the Off To Series, a collection of books exploring the many facets of the college experience, from acceptance to graduation and beyond. The next book in their series, aimed at students, is Off to College: A Month-By-Month Guide to the First-Year.
